Physics-aware Research for Autonomous Computational SYStems (PRACSYS) Lab

The "Physics-aware Research for Autonomous Computational SYStems” (PRACSYS) Lab at Rutgers University (RU) conducts research in Algorithmic Robotics: Robot Planning, Data-driven Control and Perception. Applications include manipulation, locomotion and navigation, with a focus on novel soft mechanisms and multi-robot problems. “PRACSYS” is pronounced like the Ancient Greek word for “action” (πρᾱξις), which referred to activity engaged in by free men. Aristotle held that there were three basic activities of man that corresponded to three types of knowledge: theoria (theoretical), poiesis (poetic), and praxis (practical), to which the end goal was action.
